Happy President's Day to you. Bah humbug. Waiting parents hate federal holidays. And weekends for that matter. Here are a few reason why....
The USCIS is NOT working on federal holidays or weekends. They are not processing immigration applications and not notifying waiting parents that they have approvals of said applications.
US Embassies and consolates are NOT working on visa applications or looking into the status of adoptions that are on hold.
The USPS is NOT delivering dossier paperwork, immigration approvals or applications, or anything.at.all.
Adoption agencies are NOT delivering great news about referrals, approvals, court dates or travel dates.
So, if you told anyone Happy President's Day today and you were met with a blank stare, an angry growl or a punch in the throat, cut that person some slack, they just might be a waiting adoptive parent.
LOVE IT!
