Daddy's boy!

We had another day with Asa today and he was much more engaged with us.  Thank you so much for the prayers, I know that the change we have seen from yesterday to today was because of those prayers!  Asa talked to us so much, telling us all kinds of things.  We cannot understand a word, but he rattles on and on.  He giggled and laughed as Daddy played with him and I tickled his feet.  He held our hands as we went outside to play and he even grabbed my hand when it was time to come back inside!  He is still not a big fan of the camera and even pushed it away one time today.  I will not have the camera out much tomorrow just to remove that barrier for now.
Our day was long, we left our guest house at 8:30 am and spent the morning with Asa, a few hours for lunch and break while the kids napped, and then three more hours in the afternoon with the kids.  We drove back to the city (over an hour one way) and arrived back at the guest house to discover a wonderful part of life in Central Asia, there is no water in this region of the city.  It was turned off at noon and will not be on until midnight our time.  And probably later than that.  13 people, 3 toilets and no water.  Nice.
The no water meant we could not cook dinner, so we headed back out to the store and to find dinner.  When eating is this hard, you just give up on eating and really, have no desire.  Our guide took us to a nice Italian place and we ordered pizza.  Vegetarian with beef.  I was thinking ground beef.  Nope.  It was a vegetarian pizza with steak on top. Oh well.  It worked.
love and blessings,
mike&karla&Asa-Vladik
