Ugh.

Found out today that our paperwork was not submitted to the ministry until May 11 and the ministry did not "register" it until May 15.  That is when our 15 business day wait began.  We are on day 7 now. 

Why is this a big deal?  Well, besides a heartbroken four year old waiting on the other end of this process, every week counts for another huge reason.

The courts and government shuts down for holidays/vacations for most of the month of August.  Nothing happens for that month.  Nothing.

If our approval is issued on day 15 (June 5/6), and our court date is two weeks later, that means our court date will be around June 19/20.  And the 30 day waiting period ends around July 19/20.  Which is all fine and good, *if* things go as they should and there are no further delays.

If things are delayed in getting our approval out, getting a court date, having paperwork issues with the court, or the judge goes on a long weekend or whatever else could happen, we could find ourselves with a July court date and our 30 day wait period ending in August. 

August, when nothing happens.  August, when judges who sign final decrees go on vacation.  August, when ministry officials who sign the transfer of custody go on vacation.  August, when officials in the office that issues birth certificates go on vacation.  August, when the people who produce passports go on vacation. And our son waits another month.

Please pray that our ministry approval would be issued well before the 15 day time limit.  Please pray that we are granted a court date well ahead of the two week time frame.  Please pray that there are no more delays or issues with getting this boy home!!!!
