We found out yesterday that our paperwork was actually submitted to the ministry a week later than we had thought. The ministry has 15 days to issue an approval once your paperwork is submitted. We are sitting on day ten today. Next Wednesday is the 15 day mark. Once that ministry approval is submitted to the courts, we will be issued a court date. The court date is *usually* two weeks later. Usually is a big word.
Also found out that there is an additional $400 fee for our court. Yeah! I love paying more money. I am sure that by the time this is finished, we will have paid as much money towards this adoption as it would take to complete three or more adoptions in some other countries.
Praying for a court date and an end to this. It is taxing in so many ways.
We also found out yesterday that our van needs more extensive repairs. We just cannot justify putting anymore money into it. (Not that we have any money to put into it.) We are blessed to have Mike's mom's car to use right now, so we are not totally stranded. But we have to take two cars everywhere we go because we will not fit in one car! We knew the time would come that we would need to shop for a Suburban and it looks like that will be sooner than we had thought. Thankfully we are not having to rush out to do that. We are praying for wisdom and provision for that need. We will have to have a bigger car before we bring Asa home because I cannot fit all five children and myself in a mid size sedan!
