haircuts and a trip to the park

this was taken yesterday at the Beta restaurant. oh I love this picture!
he was holding the bag with his new puppy!

(notice the "before" haircut)

and this was taken today, after their haircuts! We had him cut the bangs,
and even up the sides and back.
oh he looks so cute!  (cute before, but very cute now!)

he was not a fan of the haircut.  I don't think it was so much the cutting as it was everyone else around him watching. once we cleared the audience out of the room, he was fine.
the man who cut the boys' hair is a friend of a friend.  he was so kind to come to our guesthouse to give the haircuts.  he is native to "here" so he was able to speak to the kids in Russian.  and he did a great job as two of the boys were quite scared.  they have never had "real" haircuts with a cape and scissors, just whack jobs by buzzer wielding nannies!

this was his first time in the stroller.  not bad.  not bad until it was OUR idea for him to be in it and we had to buckle him in.  we had to walk beside a very busy street to get to the park and I didn't want him getting out and running into traffic.  overall, not a bad stroller experience.

we will need to use our stroller at airports when we have to move quickly.  with Asa's hip issue, he cannot move quickly and he gets tired very easily.  and I am glad I bought this bigger stroller on ebay, I don't think he would have fit in our old umbrella stroller!

that is our friend Kolya pushing the stroller.
Asa is only 4 and Kolya is 5, so of course he gets to push ;)

this huge blow up play thing was at the park.  we had seen similar things at other parks in the city but had no idea that the park near us had one.  you paid $1 and the kids got to jump for 30 minutes.  worth every.single.penny!

here is Asa, King of the Slide!  he had so much fun and of course freaked out when the lady called his name that his 30 minutes was up.  and freaked out some more when we buckled him back into the stroller.  good thing the kid likes snacks, they are a great temper tantrum distraction.
