The socks feature his favorite: MACHINAS!
It is 11 pm here. Noon CST, or as we say, "Texas Time". We will leave here at 8 am local time (Sunday 9 pm CST). We will go first to the court house and we pray that we find our final adoption decrees signed and in force. From there we go get Asa!
That is the plan. We only have one plan at this point. If things at the court are not as they should be, I am not sure what the plan is. I hope that our coordinator has a plan.
We attended a local church service tonight. It was all in Russian, but thankfully they had an English translator. It made me miss our church terribly and so thankful that so many of them are praying fervently for our adoption, for Asa and for us. Never Once have we ever walked alone. God has been so faithful and one way His faithfulness has been shown is through our local church family time and time again.
After church we went out to a nice local restaurant and had our final "pre-kids" meal. We do not plan to be in public with the kids unless absolutely necessary, so this meal was it. We will eat sandwiches or other foods we prepare ourselves, or take out, from this point on. Our guesthouse has a kitchen we can use and we each have a small fridge in our room to store juice, milk, etc.
We are praying for safe travel for the rest of the families. They are set to arrive in the next several hours. We are also praying for a smooth transition for the kids. There are four kids in all, and in God's kindness and providence, each of the children will be leaving the orphanage with his/her best friend. Vladik and Bakyt, and Kolya and Krystina. I know that they will find so much comfort in one another in the next two weeks as their little lives are turned upside down.
I will not have a chance to update the blog or facebook until tomorrow evening. We have no internet or cell service outside of our guesthouse. Please know that as soon as we have service, I'll be updating. Thank you all so much for being on this journey with us. Praying that tomorrow will end with four children in the arms of the parents who have loved them and fought hard for them.
