I cannot believe that in only 11 days we are leaving to go bring him home! Wow!
We had the sale for MIL's estate last Saturday. It went well. I guess. Everything is gone and we are finished. It was a huge deal. We spent every day last week driving the 88 miles one way to work all day and then drive the 88 miles home. On Thursday and Friday, we were there until 11 pm and then came home. We got home at 12:30 am after working on Friday and then left our house at 5 am to go back and work the sale.
I took today off to drive over and see my grandmother and aunt. They had flown in from Atlanta last week and today was the only day I had to go see them. They were visiting family in my home town 3 hours away. Another long day, but for a very good reason. My grandmother and aunt both adore my brother's and my children and it will probably be a year before they get to see them again. It was a good day.
Tomorrow I will begin preparing for our garage sale. We have a great building to have the sale in and donations are rolling in. The kids will have a drink stand and sell bottled water and canned drinks. I have a few paperwork errands I need to get done this week, but if all else fails, I do have next week.
Our current need is about $2500 and we hope to raise the majority of that this weekend at our garage sale. I think we can do it. Or rather, I think He will do it. He will continue to provide for this adoption, just as He has done from day one.
