We did not hear anything last week about our court date. We were told we would have two week's notice, so unless we hear something tonight or tomorrow, it is unlikely that we'll have May 28 as our court date. Our agency said that we would have two week's notice before that travel, but we will be there whenever we have to be, even with 3 days notice! Just give us a date!
Things here are going well. We have settled back in, Mike's mom is now in a nursing home and seems to like it much better than the hospital. One kid is finished with school for the year, two more kids to go and then I can stop setting my bedside alarm!
Mother's day has been nice. I had purchased some shirts for myself in anticipation of our next two trips. I told Mike that the new shirts can be my Mother's Day gift. It always seems to work out that way, he fumbles for what to get me, I go shopping (in a totally unrelated splurge) and just tell him not to worry because I bought something myself. He and the boys did pick out a very pretty floral arrangement and balloon. I am so blessed!
I have been shopping for car seats. All of our children at home are skinny and all have fit nicely in the Graco Nautilus booster seat. But Asa is built differently. He is wider, if you will. Not fat per say, just bigger than the other kids were at that age. I am honestly afraid he won't fit comfortably in the car seat I had planned to use. I have gotten some recommendations from friends about seats that might work. I won't buy anything until after our court date, but I want to know *what* I am going to buy by that point.
We have a few things on our to do list before he comes home. I'll save those for another post.
Please pray for word of our court date. Airplane tickets are only getting more and more expensive as summer comes on and we have several more to buy! And even though Mike is staying home, he will still work while I am gone, so we do have some childcare arrangements to make.
