We had planned to have a garage sale to raise our remaining funds. Many people have given us things, we have cleaned out our attic and house and I have a list of things other people want me to pick up from their house. But we found out this week that we cannot use our church fellowship hall. They are repainting and doing some renovations and will not be finished before we need the room. What to do? We need to raise more funds. We need to get rid of the stuff that is filling up our garage.
A bright spot is that while going through some donated items I found a really nice purse. Too nice for garage saling, so I put it on Craigslist and it sold in less than 12 hours! Yeah! I have some other things I think I will list on there. I think they will sell for more there than at a garage sale.
We need right at $5000 more to cover our in country travel costs, hotel, food, visas, drivers, translators, and embassy costs. We leave in less than 3 weeks! And we know that God is big enough to provide everything that we need!

ReplyDeleteOur house is 15 miles outside of town. We just don't think we'll have a good turn out by doing it at our house. We do have a couple of leads right now that we're waiting to hear back from. I think it will all work out :)
