Happy times

So, when I hear all four of them laughing and screaming in delight from the other room, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are up to no good, I still wait just a few minutes to go find out what is going on. Their laughter and enjoyment of one another is usually worth the mess they are making!

And it is during these times that I wonder, how will Asa fit into all of this?  He is not a silly boy. Funny, but not silly.  I often think he will sit on the couch in our house and think to himself, "What idiots!"  And then I hope that he finds it in himself to let go and enjoy life.  There is no longer the need to worry about enough food, or enough drink, or enough toys, or enough warmth, or enough attention and love.  I hope he can feel safe and loved and laugh with joy like the rest of them.  I hope that does not take long.
