they are starting to get it

Josiah was barely four and Judah was only a year old when we started this journey. For half of Josiah's life and most of Judah's life, we have been waiting to bring their brother Asa home. For most of their lives, they have prayed for their brother, this little person they have only known through pictures and videos. And they love him. Love him so much. And it is finally real to them that he is coming home.

Judah has been telling me for several weeks that if we don't go get Asa soon, that he is going to get his own 747 and go get Asa! "Mom, you can ride in the back when I fly to get him!"

Josiah has always had the most tender heart for his little brothers, especially for Asa. He asked me the other day, "Mom, is he really coming home?" I loved being able to tell him, "Yes, he really is."

Sleeping arrangements are a common topic of conversation, along with car seat placement! Josiah comes to me weekly with ideas on who can sleep on the top or bottom bunks in their room. And Judah asks if Asa's car seat can be next to his in the van.

I don't know if they really comprehend that Asa is not a baby still. And that he is most likely bigger than Ezra. I would love to sneak into their brains to see exactly what they imagine when they picture Asa being here.

And I cannot wait to see their faces when we step off that plane with their brother. And to remind them how faithful God is to us and that all of those years of prayer have not gone unanswered. Oh how I love imagining those conversations in years to come. Yes, we are all starting to really get it...he is coming home!
