We've been spending a lot of time at the park. It is a great place for five children to run around and get worn out. But today it was raining. And we were already in town. And Chick Fil A has a great indoor play area. And if you go to Chick Fil A, you have to get chicken.
Asa has been initiated: this is his first Chick Fil A
And....I am pretty sure he liked it! He even dipped his nuggets in Ranch dressing just like all the others! He ate twelve nuggets before everything was said and done!
And this is Ezra, saying, "CHEESE!!!"
While we were at Chick Fil A, the kids were running in and out of the play area. Ezra came back to our table, to "get a drink" aka, check to see if Mama was still there. When he headed back in, Asa was teasing him and wouldn't let him open the door. Oh, Ezra just fell apart and started screaming. The poor people next to the playroom door didn't know what to think. Loudly, I said to them, "It's okay, they're brothers!" A look of understanding came over them and they went back to their conversation.
"It's okay, they're brothers".... The reality of that statement hit me a few seconds after I said it and I almost found myself in tears. They are brothers. These two children, neither of them born of my flesh, and not even born in the same country, but they are brothers. This is truly a miracle.
Thank you Lord for all of my sons! And for bringing all of them into our family to be brothers!
